10K Tiger Eye Scarab Ring

Scarab bracelets were all the rage in the 1940s - 1950s, being inspired by the discovery of the treasures of King Tuts tomb. The Egyptian symbol of rebirth and regeneration, the scarab has been a treasured amulet since ancient times. In the 20th c. it was worn for good luck.
This 10K ring is bezel set with a large (17.2mm x 12.5mm x 6.7mm) 10.40 carats hand carved natural tigers eye scarab. The tigers eye has beautiful chatoyancy, and is carved on front and back. A handsome vintage piece of scarab jewelry! Stamped 10K, the fineness stamp is obscured. The ring was tested and confirmed for 10K.
The ring is a size 4 3/4. Sizing for a perfect fit is complimentary. The ring weighs 3.7 grams.
