14K Alexandrite Ring, Color Change Synthetic Sapphire Rectangular Step Cut Statement Ring

This dramatic statement ring is set with a large rectangular step cut synthetic color change sapphire in purple. The stone will appear reddish purple, to bluish purple depending on whether the light source is incandescent or fluorescent. These stones were often found in jewelry dating from the 1940s through the 1970s, and were commonly sold as alexandrite. Measuring approximately 23mm x 15.5mm x 9mm for a calculated weight of 37 carats. The ring setting is 14K yellow gold with flared shoulders, and heart shape adornment on the basket.
The ring is a size 8 3/4. Complimentary ring sizing is available as a service on this ring. The ring weighs 12.8 grams.
