14K French Enamel Portrait Pierced Earrings - Antique Hand Painted

Made in France, this pair of antique 14K gold pierced earrings, are bezel set with teardrop hand painted enameled portraits of Renaissance maidens. With flowers in their hair and along the bodice, the ladies are against a cobalt blue background with azure iridescent touches to their gowns. The earrings have a left and right. Marked 14K on the back of the earrings, and France on the back of the enameled portraits. Rarely have I seen antique earrings more beautiful. Measure 7/8 x 5/8. Very good condition. Circa 1910s.
