14K Gold Synthetic Color Change Sapphire Cufflinks

Made in Israel, this vintage pair of 14K yellow gold cufflinks are set with large round synthetic color change sapphires. The stones will appear reddish purple, to bluish purple depending on whether the light source is incandescent or fluorescent. These stones were often found in jewelry dating from the 1940s through the 1970s, and were commonly sold as alexandrite. The gems measure approximately 11mm x 5mm for a total weight of 8 carats (4 carats each). Stamped with Israeli hallmark for 14K. The gold has been tested and confirmed 14K as well. Fitted with toggle backs for ease of wear. A beautiful, and handsome pair of cufflinks for the French cuff wearer in your life!
The sapphires measure approximately 11mm x 5mm. The cufflinks measure 3/4" x 1". The cufflinks weigh 10.2 grams.
