14K Scarab Bracelet, Natural Gem Scarabs, Egyptian Revival

Item: BRA1290

Scarab bracelets were all the rage in the 1940s - 1960s, being inspired by the discovery of the treasures of King Tut's tomb. The Egyptian symbol of rebirth and regeneration, the scarab has been a treasured amulet since ancient times. In the 20th c. scarabs were worn for good luck. This beautiful 14K gold bracelet is bezel set with six natural gemstone cabochons carved with the scarab image on top and hieroglyphs on the reverse. The hard stones include unakite jasper, blue chalcedony, carnelian, green onyx, tigers eye, and black onyx. The bracelet has a gold dangle marked 14K with maker's mark. The spring ring clasp is also stamped 14K.

The scarabs measure approximately 13mm x 7mm x 4.5mm. Each is about 9/16" long. The bracelet measures just shy of 7 1/4" in length, and weighs 9.6 grams.

Very good condition.

Circa 1960s
