18K Art Deco Synthetic Sapphire Ring

This exquisite filigree ring is from the Edwardian/Art Deco period of design. The ring is executed in 18K white gold and bezel set with one large oval synthetic sapphire. The sapphire measures approximately 18mm x 13mm x 7mm for a calculated weight of 12 1/2 carats. Man made sapphires were first produced in 1905 and were widely marketed by about 1915. Note the intricate detail of the filigree. The ring is a size 4 1/2, sizing to fit is available and is a complimentary service upon purchase. Circa 1920.
