18K En Tremblant Plique A Jour Enamel Butterfly Stick Pin Brooch, Trembler Brooch Ruby Amethyst Diamond Body

Rarely have I seen a trembler brooch with this much action. Crafted in 18K gold the wings are plique a jour enamel in colors of blue, green, and blush pink. The body is set with round cabochon ruby eyes, an amethyst cabochon, and three single cut round diamonds set in platinum. The wings are soldered on the outside edge to the coiled springs. The inside of the wings are anchored by tied string, which is why the wings have so much action. The stick pin is in 14K gold, and may have been a later addition. I have searched this piece for marks, but have not found any. The pin clutch is gold plated. This exquisite butterfly is ideal for wearing on the shoulder or lapel. The diamond weight is approximately .15 carat total weight, and clarity is SI1-2. The rubies measure approximately 1.5mm. The amethyst measures approximately 4.5mm (~.40).
The brooch measures 3" x 1 1/2", and the butterfly measures 1 1/2" x 1 1/2". The brooch weighs 12.0 grams.
Good condition. One wing has three cells that have small areas of missing enamel. Detailed pictures upon request.
Circa 1950s This piece is difficult to date as it doesn't have strong period design, and the cuts on the gemstones do not help. It's possible it is as early as the 1930s or as late as the 1970s.
