18K Natural Ruby Diamond Cocktail Ring, Vintage JB Star Ring, July Birthstone, 40th Anniversary

This wonderful estate ring is set with an antique round Burmese ruby weighing 1.18 carats. The ruby is surrounded by a skirt of baguette cut diamonds and round brilliant diamonds on the shoulders. The total diamond weight is 2.72 carats. The diamonds grade VVS G color. The ruby came out of an antique ring dating to the early 1920s, and was reset in this JB Star custom ring in the early 1990s. The ruby has the typical inclusions found in Burmese rubies, and does not show signs of heat treatment. This cocktail ring is an ideal gift to celebrate a special birthday or anniversary. Stamped 18KP for plumb gold, and JBStar.
The ring size fall between 6 and 6 1/4. Sizing for a perfect fit is complimentary. The weight of the ring is 7.6 grams.
Very good condition. The ruby is slightly out of round (as is typical with old cuts), and has two minor chips on the surface of the stone.
