Antique Bohemian Garnet Earrings

Authentic antique Victorian Bohemian garnet earrings are exceedingly rare. Set in a gilt base metal, often called garnet gold, these earrings rarely come down through the years still intact. This pair of earrings is in exquisite condition, and set with rose cuts surrounding faceted cabochon pear and oval cuts, creating a dramatic pendant drop. Secured by 14K rose gold screw backs, marked 14Ct with maker's mark, and Germany. The garnets are set in a rose gold gilt alloy metal simulating genuine gold. You will feel transported back in time wearing these beauties.
Screw backs were invented in 1894, and began gaining popularity from the late 1890s through the 1930s.
The earrings measure from 2 1/16" x 13/16".
