Antique Silver Filigree Shell Cameo Brooch - Vintage 1910s Terpsichore

This lovely and unusual antique shell cameo brooch depicts Terpsichore, the goddess of dance. Hand carved in thin shell, the filigree frame is 800 silver. The cameo and brooch were made in Italy. Secured by a C clasp. This is a memento piece of jewelry brought over by a World War I soldier. It is understated in its elegance and beauty.
Measures 2 1/8 x 1 5/8.
Condition is good. The cameo has several fine hair line crazing.
