From the Victorian era comes this lovely antique oval brooch set with an oval faceted natural coral surrounded by sixteen faceted coral beads. Set in unknown metal, most likely gold vermeil or gold plate, possibly gold filled. Secured by the original C clasp. In Victorian times coral was thought to promote good health and bring long life.
The brooch 1 1/8 x 1. The brooch weighs 6.7 grams.
