This beautiful cameo necklace is so romantic! The centerpiece is a hand carved shell cameo set in 14K white gold. The beautiful lady is wearing a genuine diamond solitaire necklace. Attached to the cameo is a double strand of graduated baroque cultured Akoya pearls finished with a sterling silver and pearl box clasp. The pearls range from 6mm to 7mm in size, and have a creamy white color with warm rose overtones. The cameo is not signed, but tests and is guaranteed to be 14K white gold. The clasp is stamped silver, and tests and is guaranteed to be sterling silver. This beautiful piece would make a wonderful wedding gift!
The necklace measures 17" in length, and the cameo measures approximately 1 1/2" x 1 1/4". The necklace weighs 58.2 grams.
Very good condition. The necklace has been restrung and hand knotted, and finished with French wires.
The cameo dates to the 1920s, and the pearls date to the 1950s.
