Exquisite Bacchus Coral Cameo
This rare and beautifully carved coral cameo features high three dimension, undercutting, and intricate detail indicative of a fine Master carver. The right facing bust of Bacchus has a gathered toga, finely tendrilled hair, clusters of grapes and grape leaves. The cameo itself measures 1 5/8" x 1 1/4". The matte finished gold frame brings the brooch measurement to 2" x 1 5/8". The cameo is fitted with a brooch stem and fold over pendant bail. Circa early 20th century.
