Exquisite Victorian 14K Carnelian Cameo
Carved in the hard stone carnelian, the detail of this high relief cameo is amazing. From the curls in her hair, to the drape in the bust you can almost feel the tendrils and fabric! Bezel set in a 14K yellow gold framed with hand twisted rope. The brooch measures 1 1/2" x 1 1/4", and has a Victorian C clasp. Carnelian cameos of this quality are exceedingly hard to come by. Circa 1875.
