This lovely and unusual hand carved shell cameo brooch depicts a castle scene with a lady in antique dress with a village in the background. Scenes like this one are often called Rebecca at the Well. The cameo is framed in gold filled with a twisted frame. Secured by a locking pin clasp.
Measures 1 7/8" x 1 5/8".
Condition is good. The cameo has some fine hair line crazing.
