Large Vintage 14K Natural Stone Scarab Bracelet

Scarab bracelets were all the rage in the 1940s - 1950s, being inspired by the discovery of the treasures of King Tut's tomb. The Egyptian symbol of rebirth and regeneration, the scarab has been a treasured amulet since ancient times. In the 20th c. it was worn for good luck. This beautiful bracelet is bezel set with six natural gemstone cabochons carved with the scarab image. The stones include blue chalcedony, turquoise, citrine, onyx, rose quartz, and adventurine. The scarabs measure approximately 15mm x 11.5mm x 6mm. Each is about 5/8" long. The bracelet measures 7 1/2" in length and has a gold filled safety chain for security. Circa 1940s.
