Modernist Onyx Inlay Opal Pendant Necklace

This unique vintage modernist pendant is a free form abstract carved black onyx teardrop inlaid with a natural blue crystal opal weighing 4.27 carats. The opal is bezel set within the onyx in 18K white gold. The opal has beautiful blue and green play of color that is mesmerizing! Suspended on an 18" sterling silver rope chain, or 16" black neoprene cord with sterling lobster claw clasp. Both are included in the price of the pendant. I purchased this piece from a woman who had had it for years. It was originally purchased in Hawaii.
The pendant measures 1 7/16" x 1". The neoprene cord is 16". The sterling rope chain is 18".
