Rare Virgin Mary Cameo 14K Brooch Pendant

This lovely depiction of Saint Mary is carved from the prized emperor helmet shell. The cameo has a rich dark brown background to highlight the white detailed carving. The cameo displays very nice three dimensional form and good undercutting.
The brooch measures 1 3/16" by 1 1/4".
The cameo is set in 14K yellow gold and is fitted with a pendant bale as well.
