This lovely 14K gold brooch set with four natural rubies is an example of the exquisite design and superior craftsmanship of one of old America's finest jewelry makers, Sloan & Co. Designing fine jewelry since 1895, Sloan & Co. closed its doors in the early 1980s. This beautiful brooch has an organic floral design, characteristic of the 1950s, set with four small rubies amid sprays of golden buds. The brooch lends itself to versatility, as shown in picture #4, worn on a long strand of pearls. The pearl necklace is not included in this sale. Stamped 14 with the Sloan & Co maker's mark.
The brooch measures 1 1/2" x 1 1/2", and weighs 14.5 grams.
