Spratling Sterling & Rosewood Salt and Pepper Shakers - Vintage 1960s
Item: SP0010
This is a wonderful and difficult to find pair of salt and pepper shakers by the renowned silversmith William Spratling, known as The Father of Mexican Silver. Spratling was instrumental in the development of the silversmith trade of Taxco. These shakers are from the Spratling Dot collection and have a strong mid century modern aesthetic. Crafted from rosewood the shakers have inlaid sterling silver dots. The shaker tops are also sterling silver. The tops are removed by a simple twist. Measure 1 3/8 x 1 3/8 x 1.25. Very good condition. Circa 1962 - 1964
